Standard Production Processes
1. Collection of plant materials:Select appropriate plant materials for collection, which can be parts such as roots, stems, leaves, flowers or fruits, and are usually collected during the growing season of the plant.
2. Cleaning and Chopping: the collected plant material is cleaned to remove surface impurities and chopped into small pieces or powder to increase the extraction efficiency.
3. Extraction: the chopped plant materials are soaked or decocted with appropriate amount of solvent (such as ethanol, water, ether, etc.) to dissolve the active ingredients in the solvent, and methods such as leaching, percolation, and ultrasonic extraction can be used to increase the extraction efficiency.
4. Filtration and concentration: the extract will be filtered to remove the solid residue, and then the solution will be concentrated, evaporation, freeze-drying and other methods can be used.
5. Crystallization and purification: the concentrated solution is crystallized, and the crystallization process can be controlled by adjusting conditions such as temperature and solvent concentration. Then through filtration, washing and drying steps, purification and purification.
6. Packaging and storage: the purified active ingredient is packaged, usually in sealed packages, and then stored in a cool, dry place, avoiding light and moisture.
